A power supply device for an engine starter of an automobile is disclosed. The device comprises a control circuit which controls the supply of DC current from a battery to the starter by making and breaking the electromagnetic switch of the starter. A series circuit of a starting switch and a DC-DC converter is coupled across a positive terminal of the battery and the input of a constant voltage source circuit.
