A paint can attachment which fits into the rim channel around the open top of a paint can. A sloped ring shaped surface extends slightly into the can flush with the inner peripheral edge of the can to prevent paint from getting into the rim channel. A pourer spout may be attached for ease of pouring

The attachment of claim 1 further including: two protuberances extending upwardly from the topside surface of the attachment element and positioned such that a paint scraper bar having mating openings at either end may be snap-fit thereto.
