A weight reducing athletic garment, effective at focusing weight loss on specific, predetermined body areas is fabricated from a combination of a nonporous insulative material and a stretch fabric. The nonporous nature of the insulative material causes an increase in prespiration to those areas of the wearer\s body which are covered by the insulative segments. The elastic fabric segments have a substantial ability to transmit perspiration, and thereby allow ventilation to other body parts so as to minimize the risk of dehydration. Additionally, elastic segments are disposed near all joint areas to allow the wearer to enjoy more freedom of movement during exercise.
