A rack, for caulking guns or the standard cartridges which fit them, includes upwardly-projecting cones adapted to plug the opened plastic nozzles of caulking cartridges when the cartridge nozzles are lowered onto the cones. An air-tight seal is formed as the plastic nozzle of a cartridge conforms to and grips the cone. The weight of the cartridge helps to insert the cone.
