The jacket for a compact disc carrier comprises a generally rectangular space defined by a top panel, bottom panel, two side panels and an end panel. A compact disc carrier is slidable within the space in the direction of the jacket and carrier lengths. Protrusions extending from the jacket into the jacket space engage the carrier near an edge and prevent further motion that would otherwise separate the carrier and jacket when the carrier is being withdrawn from the jacket.
