There has been discovered the increased E-Modulus and grinding performance of vitreous bonded sol-gel abrasive grit abrasive articles, particularly abrasive grinding wheels, by the incorporation therein of inorganic, non-metallic bubbles. In a practice of the invention the abrasive article comprises
