Highly heat resistant glass fiber which comprises from 0.1 to 2.0 wt % of Al2O3, from 0.1 to 2.0 wt % of TiO2, from 96 to 99.8 wt % of SiO2 and not more than 0.03 wt % of the sum of alkali metal oxides and alkaline earth metal oxides.
