초록

A heat exchanger for use in high speed aircraft propulsion engines provides a plurality of heat pipes wherein the evaporator sections of the heat pipes are disposed in a hot fluid flow conduit and the condenser sections are disposed in a cold fluid flow conduit and the flow conduits are separated by a vented cavity and thin heat transfer fins are disposed around the condenser sections.
