An acoustic buffer has a pair of inflatable cylinders that float in the water against the hull along the waterline around the bow of a boat to dampen noise of the water lapping against the hull when the boat is anchored. The cylinders are joined together by Velcro strips at the forward ends adjacent to the bow, and each cylinder extends toward the stern along the hull.
