An absorption system for heating, refrigerating and conditioning air for use in vehicles is disclosed. The refrigerant-absorbent mixture, presenting a coefficient of performance of around 0.9, is heated by the waste heat of exhaust gases from the vehicle which has a fuel-driven internal combustion engine.
