A new hinge fairing design for control surfaces such as ailerons, elevators, and rudders. By staggering the two curved hinge fairings, one mounted to the fixed airfoil and the other to the leading edge of the control surface, a curving load path is opened up that allows installation of hinge fittings and actuators without having to make cut-outs in the curved fairings.
