A multi-paned insulated light, such as a window, incorporates an interior panel spacer/seal that includes a thermal insulating layer of cardboard. The cardboard serves as a low cost insulating layer and may be used in conjunction with rolled or extruded metal spacer forms, so as to vastly diminish the thermal bridging effect normally present with such metallic sections.
