A frame plug or closure member which is fitted into a cavity of a handgrip of a handgun is used to provide added reenforcement and to extend the handgrip. The plug has a tapered, semi-circular shaped base which is integrally connected to one end of a flexible flat, elongated member which has a foot at the other end thereof.
