A two-layer weft knitted fabric of a three-thread fleece construction has an inner layer of polypropylene yarn, which is raised to form a fleece, and an outer layer of cotton yarn. The fabric is of a plain plaited structure consisting of a cotton face and binding yarn with a polypropylene backing yarn inlaid and tucked into the technical back of the fabric every fourth wale.
