A baffle vent is provided for positioning between the underside of a roof and the top edges of the roof rafters and defining a duct between the rafters and between the vent and the interior surface of the roof for directing air over the interior surface of the roof. The vent is formed by an elongated self-supporting structure of sheet-like material having a plurality of longitudinal ribs adapted for positioning onto the top edges of the roof rafters.
