A telephone handset holder that mounts to the user\s head or headgear. The handset holder, with handset attached, allows hands-free use of handset. The handset holder attaches to the backside of a telephone handset. The holder can accommodate a large variety of handsets for corded telephones, cordless telephones, cellular telephones, small two-way radios and other similar communication instruments. The handset holder can be quickly attached to and unattached from the back of handsets by means of small straps, hock and loop fasteners or suction cups. The handset holder is lightweight. The handset holder, with a handset attached, can be easily secured to the user\s head by an over-the-head headband or by a wrap-around headband. The handset holder may be attached to a user\s helmet or hard hat. The disclosed handset holder is simple and inexpensive to produce.
