The invention is a green soda-lime-silica glass composition having excellent ultra violet absorbing ability while having a relatively high light transmittance. The colorants of the glass composition consist essentially of: greater than 0.5 to 1.5 wt. % total iron oxide as Fe.sub.2 O.sub.3 ; wherein
