A cable lock attachment for portable articles that is protected from tampering, whether by twisting or otherwise, when the associated cable lock is operational. The attachment comprises a shell with concentric axial ports, one large and one small, and opposed lateral ports. The small port is in proximity to a threaded socket in the article.
