An improved gun grip panel includes two pieces of a carbon, kevlar or carbon/kevlar mix material separated by a spacer. This material and spacer are encapsulated in a clear resin. The combination of strong, lightweight woven material and resin provide improved strength and resiliency to the gun grip panel without disadvantageously increasing the panel's weight. The clarity of the resin allows the woven material to be visible through the resin, giving the gun grip panel an ornamental appearance.
