Bread boxes that automatically seal the loaf wrapper after slices of bread are consumed. In both embodiments a rigid bottom, base that is adapted to be disposed upon a supporting surface has a pair of parallel, vertical sides that terminate at a back piece. The sides are spaced to fit a loaf of bread between them. A self closing door system closes the front of the box.
