The cap can be used on both linear and non-linear tubes because it requires about 45.degree. or less rotation to lock. The cap assembly comprises a housing for attachment on the open end of the tube. The housing is equipped with protruding lugs that interlock with grooves on the cap to form a fluid tight seal.
