A cargo management system comprising an airframe suspended from an aircraft by a cable assembly. The airframe includes a loading frame which comprises a plurality of horizontal struts and vertical struts which are interconnected at corner assemblies. A payload hook is connected to each of the corner assemblies by a universal joint.
