An advertising display which is easily erected and may be used as a free-standing display or as a hanging display. The display is comprised of two sub-assemblies which are folded flat for shipment and which may be popped open and slipped together to form a commanding display. Provision is made for allowing the display to be hung from above, or alternatively, a pair of feet assemblies are provided which may be attached adjacent the base of the display to provide a stable free-standing display. The feet, if used, engage the rest of the display in a positive manner so as to remain attached to the display if the display is lifted for movement, etc. Exemplary embodiments are disclosed.

[ What is claimed:] [1.] An advertising display comprising:first and second advertising panels having top and bottom edges and first and second opposite side edges, the panels being joined along the first and second opposite side edges;a pair of sheet-like spreader members between the first and second advertising panels adjacent the top and bottom edges, respectively, each spreader member having a central region and integral first and second side regions, each side region being coupled to the central region by curved lines of reduced resistance to bending, the central region having a fold line therethrough;when the advertising display is in a folded state, each spreader member being folded through 180.degree. along the fold line, with the first and second side regions being bonded to the first and second advertising panels, respectively, with the fold line of the central region approximately perpendicular to the first and second opposite side edges of the panels; and,when the panels are encouraged into separation adjacent each of the spreader members, the spreader members will unfold along the fold line through the central region and fold along the curved lines of reduced resistance to bending such that the central region is unfolded and curved following a curvature of the curved lines, thereby holding the central region in an unfolded position.
