This design ensures high-speed operation without any significant loss of water pressure at pressures of about 4000 p.s.i. Vents are provided through which fluid bypassing the main seal exits the housing, providing an indication of loss of main seal. A secondary seal is provided to protect the bearing(s) from fluid.
