A tactile baby bottle including a transparent, hard plastic inner layer, and a soft outer layer which provides a more convenient surface for holding and imparts increased toughness and breakage resistance to the structure.

[ What is claimed as being new and desired to be protected by LETTERS PATENT of the United States is as follows:] [1.] A tactile baby bottle comprising a transparent, hard plastic inner layer and a soft outer layer which provides a more convenient surface for holding and imparts increased toughness and breakage resistance to the structure wherein said soft outer layer covers the majority of the inner layer but does not cover areas to be contacted by the hand of a child care provider during use.
