A beverage retainer and method of use in which a beverage container has two chambers which are fluidly separate from each other and are positioned next to each other for thermal conductivity. One chamber has a resealable closing member adapted to contain a chilling material. The resealable closing member is removed and chilling material, such as ice, is dispensed therein.
