[ I claim:] [1.] A three ply sandwich structured hydroentangled web exhibiting low sidedness and good hand feel having long synthetic fibers on the top and bottom ply and short cellulosic fibers or a mixture of short cellulosic and optionally short synthetic or other natural fibers in the middle layer wherein the synthetic fibers in the outer plies have a length in the range of about 30 to 100 mm and the cellulosic fiber in the middle ply has a length of about 1 to 8 mm and the optional short synthetic or other natural fibers have a length of about 6 to 27 mm.
