In a combined cycle power plant, exhaust from a high pressure turbine is branched so that part of it is supplied to a steam cooling system, and the other part of it is supplied to an inlet of a reheater of an exhaust heat recovery boiler. The exhaust supplied to the steam cooling system performs predetermined cooling and becomes heated.
