A device for mounting a wide variety of different window dressings is described. The device is intended to use conventional mounting brackets to mount the window dressing without the necessity of providing holes to mount the same in the face of the window molding or frame. The device includes either a corner or linear mounting plate which, respectively, may be used either on the right hand or left hand corner, or horizontally or vertically on the frame.
