[ What is claimed is:] [9.] A golf club shaft comprising:a first layer composed of composite fiber bound within a thermoplastic resin;a second layer composed of composite fiber bound within a thermoset resin; andan adhesive layer disposed between said first and second layers of composite fiber, said adhesive layer composed of a material capable of chemically adhering to the thermoplastic resin and the thermoset resin, said adhesive layer composed of a material different than a material of said first layer and said second layer, and said material of said adhesive layer homogeneous in composition throughout the entire adhesive layer;whereby the golf club shaft is capable of withstanding at least 500 high heel hits without delamination of either said first layer or said second layer.
