The present invention provides a composition, in particular for use in safety devices for motor vehicles, which comprises a fuel mixture consisting of at least two components in a proportion of from 20 to 60% by weight and an oxidizer mixture consisting of at least three components in a proportion of from 40 to 80% by weight, relative to the total composition in each case.
