The present invention defines an improved pair of grips for lifting bulk materials, boxes and cartons. The grips have an ergonomically designed handhold on one side and a replaceable array of needle-like pointed projections on the other side for engaging the lifted piece. The projections are tapered, narrow and angled such that when engaged with a load, additional gripping power results. Holsters are provided for safekeeping when not in use.
