A device for holding a container includes an elongated handle. An adjustable band is mounted at one end, and has two sections which project from opposite sides, of the handle. The two sections overlap to form a loop, and each section is provided with a series of openings. A clip receives the overlapping sections and comprises a detent which can be moved into and out of the openings.
