There is disclosed a flooring panel which comprises a supporting plate made of wood material and provided on at least one face with a covering. The supporting plate is provided at its edges with tongues and grooves which fit into and onto corresponding grooves and tongues on further similar panels.

Each edge of the supporting plate has both a groove and a tongue to provide a firm connection.
