The bottom (11) has two protrusions or supporting handles (13, 14), suitable to hang the bottom on two parallel guides, located in a horizontal plane. The container has a nose or hook at its front side, for coupling another container, placed in front of it. This container (10) may be used to supply meals for passengers by using a trolley during passenger transport and avoids the necessity of a serving tray, on which the container is placed.
