초록

The invention relates to an improved method for preparing a lithiated manganese dioxide having a stabilized .gamma.-MnO2-type crystal structure whereby an essentially dry mixture of manganese dioxide and a lithium salt is subjected to a mechanical activation process in the presence of milling media.
