An environment control system for a body of an aircraft that provides controlled ventilation of the interior space of an aircraft body, facilitating reduction of volatile organic compounds (VOCs) within cabin air, dehumidifying and reducing moisture condensation and thus corrosion and other moisture related problems within the envelope, allowing increased humidification of cabin air, and allowing suppression of fires within the envelope.
