A sharps disposal unit of the present invention includes a cover and a disposable container upon which the cover rests. The cover includes a drop slot in its top surface, a baffle sloping downwardly from an edge of the drop slot, and a heated well which holds a supply of a melted sealant which will solidify upon cooling. The disposable container has a top surface with a flap in it and preferably has accordioned walls. The flap is hinged along a hinge line and is pushed downwardly by plates in the cover to open the container. A peel-off label is removably, applied to the flap. The flap, when opened, form a second baffle below the cover baffle which slopes in an opposite direction of the cover baffle. A closure (such as a tie) is provided to hold the flap closed when the container is full, and it is time to dispose of the filled container. The sealant encases needle tips to reduce the possibility of sticks by used needles and can be drawn into the hollow shaft of used needles; the container flap reduces the possibility of sharps falling out of the container if the container is dropped; and, the double baffle system reduces the possibility of someone reaching inside of the unit and gaining access to the needles. The peel-off removable label reduces the amount of germs which contact the flap. Upon removal of the label, the container flap (and hence the outside of the container) will be substantially free of germs which would otherwise be deposited in the container by the sharps deposited in the container.

The case of claim 7 wherein said storage cradle is connected to said housing by an axle to permit the cradle to pivot within said housing. 15. The case of claim 7 wherein said housing further comprises a storage tab for retaining a CD booklet. 16. The case of claim 7 wherein said front wall is sized to accept a CD identification label. 17. A disc storage system comprising: a plurality of storage cradles rotatably mounted on an axis, each cradle comprising: (a) a base having two vertically upstanding side walls forming a storage slot for said disc between said side walls; (b) indented tabs located on said side walls adjacent the bottom of said slot, said tabs operable to grip said disc centering said disc when inserted in said cradle; (c) a rear wall; and (d) a vertically upstanding front wall. 18. The storage system of claim 17 further comprising a pull tab attached to said front wall of each of said cradles. 19. The storage system of claim 18 wherein said pull tabs are located at different locations on adjacent cradles. 20. The storage system of claim 17 comprising at least one strip of non-abrasive material on one of said vertically upstanding walls. ng devices further includes a second moving member which is operable to engage an at least partially filled tray at a corresponding tray support area and move the partially filled tray from the tray support area onto said at least one second tray conveying surface. 51. A method for handling trays for use with a mail sorter, said method comprising: providing a plurality of tray filling areas and tray filling devices along a mail sorter, said tray filling areas being configured to position trays while said tray filling devices at least partially fill the trays with sorted articles from the mail sorter; providing at least one conveying surface at least partially along said plurality of tray filling areas; conveying empty trays along said at least one conveying surface; moving empty trays from said at least one conveying surface to said tray filling areas; at least partially filling the empty trays at said tray filling areas; moving partially filled trays from said tray filling areas onto said at least one conveying surface; recycling empty trays along said at least one conveying surface in a generally continuous loop until the empty trays are moved to said tray filling areas; and conveying the partially filled trays to a labeling station after the partially filled trays are moved onto said at least one conveying surface. 53. The method of claim 52 further including tracking the at least partially filled trays as they are conveyed from said tray filling areas to said labeling station. 54. The method of claim 53 further including labeling the at least partially filled trays at said labeling station. 55. The method of claim 54 further including verifying that an appropriate label is affixed to the at least partially filled trays after the trays are labeled at said labeling station. 56. A method for handling trays for use with a mail sorter, said method comprising: providing a plurality of tray filling areas and tray filling devices along a mail sorter, said tray filling areas being configured to position trays while said t
