An adhesive composition that contains a preservative is particularly useful as a medical adhesive and can include alkyl cyanoacrylate monomers. The preservative is preferably soluble in the monomer. The composition may optionally be sterilized by placing a mixture of a polymerizable adhesive monomer and a preservative in a container, sealing the container, and sterilizing the mixture and the container. acer plate, (e) depositing an electrically conductive material over the substrate to form on the substrate a plurality of spaced cathode and anode electrodes, (f) bonding the spacer plate via its second surface to the substrate with the spaced walls extending generally transverse to the substrate and such that a pair of the spaced cathode and anode electrodes are located between each adjacent pair of walls. 10. The method for making the plasma channel plate of a plasma-addressed electro-optic display device as claimed in claim 9, wherein the cathode and anode electrodes are wider than the spaced walls and the spaced walls are located over the cathode and anode electrodes such that adjacent channels share an electrode. 11. The method of claim 1, wherein the electrodes are wider than the spaced walls and the spaced walls are located over the electrodes such that adjacent channels share an electrode. 12. The method of claim 1, wherein the electrodes comprise cathode and anode electrodes formed on the substrate.
