The method according to claim 4 which includes as additional steps of removing the interlocking stop from the device and separating the inner cannula from the outer cannula. 6. The method according to claim 5 wherein the emplacing comprises the emplacing of a snap ring as the annular retaining ring. 7. The method according to claim 4 wherein the interlocking stop comprises an annular retaining ring. 8. The method according to claim 7 wherein the annular retaining ring comprises a snap ring.
