A saw frame assembly comprising: a generally planar frame including a back member having forward and rearward end portions; handle structure adjacent said rearward end portion of said back member and extending downwardly therefrom; a single, elongate arm member; and means for substantially nonremovably mounting said arm member on said forward end portion of said back member for movement between a first position, extending downwardly from said back member in confronting, coplanar, spaced relationship to said handle structure, and a second position extending generally along said back member, said arm member having a distal end portion, remote from said back member in said first position of said arm member, with a first pair of substantially transversely aligned blade-engaging elements on opposite sides thereof, taken with reference to a medial plane of said frame, and said forward end portion of said back member having a second pair of said transversely aligned blade-engaging elements on the opposite sides thereof; and a quick-release blade-tensioning mechanism mounted on said frame and including a movable member having a third pair of said blade-engaging elements transversely aligned on opposite sides thereof and being constructed to effect displacement of said movable member between blade-tensioning and blade-releasing positions, said handle structure of said frame having a cam bearing surface thereon, and said blade-tensioning mechanism comprising an operating member and a turnbuckle arrangement, said operating member having a cam element thereon disposed to engage said cam bearing surface and to cooperate therewith to effect such displacement of said movable member, said turnbuckle arrangement including a tension-adjusting link element that is readily accessible for manual adjustment; each of said blade-engaging elements being constructed to engage one end of a removably mounted saw blade, one element of each of said pairs of blade-engaging elements lying substantially in a first lateral plane, disposed to one side of said medial plane, and being constructed to orient a mounted blade substantially parallel to said medial plane, and the other element of each of said pairs of elements lying in a second lateral plane, disposed to the opposite side of said medial plane, and being constructed to orient the mounted blade at a substantial angle to said medial plane, coplanar elements of said first and second pairs of blade-engaging elements being commonly disposed on an arc circumscribing the coplanar element of said third pair of blade-engaging elements; whereby said frame assembly can mount a saw blade, in either of two orientations, between said second and third pairs of blade-engaging elements for c utting within a relatively confined space, and can readily be converted to mount the blade between said first and third blade-engaging elements, with said arm member in said first position thereof, for cutting within a relatively unconfined space. 9. The assembly of claim 8 wherein said handle structure has a channel extending inwardly from a forward surface thereof to proximate said cam bearing surface, and wherein said movable member is a block slidably received in a forward section of said handle structure channel and said turnbuckle arrangement is received within a rearward section thereof, said handle structure having a lateral opening therein communicating with said channel thereof and providing such access to said link element. 10. A saw frame assembly comprising: a generally planar frame including a back member having forward and rearward end portions; handle structure adjacent said rearward end portion of said back member and extending downwardly therefrom; a single, elongate arm member; and means for substantially nonremovably mounting said arm member on said forward end portion of said back member for pivotal movement between a first position, extending downwardly from said back member in confronting, coplanar, spaced relationship to said handle structure, and a second position extending generally along said back member, said arm member having a distal end portion, remote from said back member in said first position of said arm member, with a first pair of substantially transversely aligned blade-engaging elements on opposite sides thereof, taken with reference to a medial plane of said frame, and said forward end portion of said back member having a second pair of said transversely aligned blade-engaging elements on the opposite sides thereof; and a quick-release blade-tensioning mechanism mounted on said frame and including a movable member having a third pair of said transversely aligned blade-engaging elements on opposite sides thereof and being constructed to effect displacement of said movable member between blade-tensioning and blade-releasing positions, said handle structure of said frame having a cam bearing surface thereon, and said blade-tensioning mechanism comprising an operating member and a turnbuckle arrangement, said operating member having a cam element thereon disposed to engage said cam bearing surface and to cooperate therewith to effect such displacement of said movable member, said turnbuckle arrangement including a tension-adjusting link element that is readily accessible for manual adjustment; said handle structure comprising a gripping component having a rearward surface portion, and said blade-tensioning mechanism including an operating lever pivotably mounted at a location spaced from said back member and comprising an arm portion that extends upwardly along and against said rearward surface portion of said gripping component in said blade-tensioning position of said mechanism, said arm portion being configured to cooperate with said gripping component to provide a hand grip for said saw assembly; each of said blade-engaging elements being constructed to engage one end of a removably mounted saw blade, one element of each of said pairs of blade-engaging elements lying substantially in a first lateral plane, disposed to one side of said medial plane, and being constructed to orient a mounted blade substantially parallel to said medial plane, and the other element of each of said pairs of elements lying in a second lateral plane, disposed to the opposite side of said medial plane, and being constructed to orient the mounted blade at a substantial angle to said medial plane, coplanar elements of said first and second pairs of blade-engaging elements in each of said first and second lateral planes being commonly disposed on an arc circumscribing the coplanar element of said third pair of blade-engaging elements; whereby said frame assembly can mount a saw blade, in either of two orientations, between said second and third pairs of blade-engaging elements for cutting within a relatively confined space, and can readily be converted to mount the blade between said first and third blade-engaging elements, with said arm member in said first position thereof, for cutting within a relatively unconfined space. 11. A saw frame assembly comprising: a generally planar frame including a back member having forward and rearward end portions; handle structure adjacent said rearward end portion of said back member and extending downwardly therefrom; a single, elongate arm member; and means for substantially nonremovably mounting said arm member on said forward end portion of said back member for movement between a first position, extending downwardly from said back member in confronting, coplanar, spaced relationship to said handle structure, and a second position extending generally along said back member, said arm member having a distal end portion, remote from said back member in said first position of said arm member, with a first pair of substantially transversely aligned blade-engaging elements on opposite sides thereof, taken with reference to a medial plane of said frame, and said forward end portion of said back member having a second pair of said transversely aligned blade-engaging elements on the opposite sides thereof; and a quick-release blade-tensioning mechanism mounted on said frame and including a movable member having a third pair of said transversely aligned blade-engaging elements transversely aligned on opposite sides thereof and being constructed to effect displacement of said movable member between blade-tensioning and blade-releasing positions, said handle structure comprising a gripping component having a rearward surface portion, and said blade-tensioning mechanism including an operating lever pivotably mounted at a location spaced from said back member and comprising an arm portion that extends upwardly along and against said rearward surface portion of said gripping component in said blade-tensioning position of said mechanism, said arm portion being configured to cooperate with said gripping component to provide a hand grip for said saw assembly; each of said blade-engaging elements being constructed to engage one end of a removably mounted saw blade, one element of each of said pairs of blade-engaging elements lying substantially in a first lateral plane, disposed to one side of said medial plane, and being constructed to orient a mounted blade substantially parallel to said medial plane, and the other element of each of said pairs lying in a second lateral plane, disposed to the opposite side of said medial plane, and being constructed to orient the mounted blade at a substantial angle to said medial plane, coplanar elements of said first and second pairs of blade-engaging elements in each of said first and second lateral planes being commonly disposed on an arc circumscribing the coplanar element of said third pair of blade-engaging elements; whereby said frame assembly can mount a saw blade, in either of two orientations, between said second and third pairs of blade-engaging elements for cutting within a relatively confined space, and can readily be converted to mount the blade between said first and third blade-engaging elements, with said arm member in said first position thereof, for cutting within a relatively unconfined space. n 70 g/hr and about 120 g/hr. 3. The system of claim 1, further comprising a second duct for directing at least a portion of the air flow into a second shoe, said other duct having an outlet. 7. The system of claim 1, further comprising a turbulence generating device at least partially within said duct. 8. The system of claim 7, wherein said turbulence generating device comprises a blade. 9. The system of claim 7, further comprising a plurality of tubes extending from said duct. 10. The system of claim 1, wherein the tube is configured to inflate upon airflow entering the tube. 11. The system of claim 1, wherein said tube is configured to absorb retained water from the interior surface of the shoe. 12. The system of claim 1, further comprising a shield configured to at least partially surround the duct and each of the tubes and configured to be movable along the longitudinal axis of the duct. 13. The system of claim 1, wherein the tube further comprises an outlet for directing at least a portion of the airflow into the shoe. 14. The system of claim 13, wherein the outlet of the tube is directed toward the toe end of the shoe. 15. A system for drying a shoe resting in an upright position, comprising: a fan operable to produce an air flow; a heating element; at least one duct adapted to direct at least a portion of the airflow into a shoe, said duct having at least one outlet therein; and a vented bag having an inflated state upon operation of said fan, said vented bag having a proximal end for receiving said duct, a distal end opposite said proximal end, and a plurality of apertures formed adjacent said distal end of said bag, said apertures being positioned above the toe of a shoe to be dried when the vented bag is in said inflated state. 16. The system of claim 15, wherein said apertures are of sufficient size to maintain said vented bag in an inflated state upon operation of said fan. 17. The system of claim 15, further comprising a at least one tube extending from the duct and configured to contact an interior surface of the shoe. 18. A system for drying a shoe comprising; a fan operable to produce an airflow; a heating element; a duct for directing the air flow into a shoe, said duct having at least one outlet therein; and a fixed-bladed device positioned within a portion of said duct for generating turbulent airflow along substantially the interior length of a shoe. 19. The system of claim 18, wherein the fixed-bladed device comprises a planar portion and plurality of outwardly flanges extending from the planar portion and forming an obtuse angle therewith. 20. A process for drying a shoe, comprising the steps of: providing a shoe; providing a drying system comprising a fan operable to produce an air flow, a heating element, a duct having an outlet, and a tube extending from said duct and configured to be positioned within the shoe, wherein said drying system has a drying effectiveness of at least about 70 g/hr; inserting said duct and tube into said shoe; and directing an air flow to the interior of said shoe. 21. The process of claim 20, wherein said step of supplying an airflow continues for less than one hour. 22. The process of claim 20, wherein said drying system further comprises a turbulence generating device. 23. The process of claim 22, wherein said turbulence generating device comprises a blade. 24. The process of claim 20, further comprising a vented bag for receiving said shoe and said duct having an airflow exiting said bag. 25. The process of claim 24, wherein said airflow exiting said bag has a relative humidity of about 20%. 26. The process of claim 20, further comprising the step of immersion w ashing said shoe prior to said supplying step. 27. A process for drying a shoe, comprising the steps of: providing a shoe; immersion washing said shoe; providing a drying system comprising a fan operable to produce an air flow, a heating element, a duct having an outlet and a fixed-bladed device positioned within a portion of said duct for generating turbulent airflow; inserting said duct into said shoe; directing said airflow to the interior of said shoe; and maintaining said airflow to provide a drying effectiveness of at least 70 g/hr within the first hour of drying. ser level comprising: a housing; a motor disposed in the housing; a shaft driven by the motor, the shaft having a longitudinal axis; at least one diode disposed on the shaft for projecting a laser beam, wherein the laser beam is substantially perpendicular to the shaft; and a first power tool battery pack electrically connected to the motor and removably attached to the housing. 4. The laser level of claim 3, further comprising a second power tool battery pack electrically connected to the motor and removably attached to the housing. 5. The laser level of claim 4, wherein the first and second battery packs have different voltages. 6. The laser level of claim 4, wherein the first and second battery pack have the same terminal block configuration. 7. A laser level comprising: a main housing; a motor disposed in the main housing; a shaft driven by the motor, the shaft having a longitudinal axis; a diode housing disposed on the shaft; and at least one diode disposed in the diode housing for projecting a laser beam, wherein the laser beam is substantially perpendicular to the shaft; wherein the main housing comprises an upper portion covering the diode housing. 8. The laser level of claim 7, further comprising a plunger disposed on the upper portion of the main housing movable between a first position contacting the diode housing and a second position not contacting the diode housing. 9. The laser level of claim 8, wherein the diode housing can be rotated by rotating the plunger when the plunger is in the first position. 10. The laser level of claim 8, further comprising a spring for biasing the plunger towards the second position. 11. A laser level comprising: a main housing; at least one diode disposed in the housing for projecting a laser beam, said beam being rotatable to denote a reference plane; and a protective bar flexibly connected to the main housing. 12. The laser level of claim 11, further comprising a handle attached to the protective bar. 13. The laser level of claim 11, further comprising a connector assembly flexibly connecting the protective bar to the main housing. 14. The laser level of claim 13, wherein the connector assembly comprises a flexible gasket. 15. The laser level of claim 14, wherein the flexible gasket is disposed between the protective bar and the main housing. 16. A laser level comprising: a main housing; at least one diode disposed in the housing for projecting a laser beam, said beam being rotatable to denote a reference plane; and a clamp assembly slidably attached to the main housing for clamping the laser level to an architectural feature. 17. A method for constructing a laser level comprising the steps of: providing a housing, a motor disposed in the housing, a shaft driven by the motor, the shaft having a longitudinal axis, at least one diode disposed on the shaft for projecting an elliptical laser beam with major and minor axes, wherein the laser beam is substantially perpendicular to the shaft; and aligning the at least one diode so that the major axis of the elliptical laser beam is substantially horizontal. ower panel member when said ironing board member is in said horizontal use position.
