The adsorptive coating comprises an adsorptive media, such as activated carbon or ion exchange resin, that is bound by a polymeric adhesive or resin. The adsorbent article has a minimal pressure loss therethrough. 1. A nipple simulating an areola of a woman's breast comprising: a stem having an orifice, a proximal end and a distal end; and a base being connected to said proximal end of said stem, said base having an areola region and a bulbous region, said areola region being disposed between said proximal end of said stem and said bulbous region, said areola region having an outwardly convex shape, wherein said areola region simulates the shape and function of the areola of the woman's breast, and wherein said areola region is substantially concentrically aligned with said bulbous region when viewed in a top view. 2. The nipple of claim 1, wherein said base has only two portions which are said areola region and said bulbous region. 3. The nipple of claim 2, wherein said stem is inwardly tapered toward said distal end. 4. The nipple of claim 1, wherein said proximal end of said stem has opposing sides with inwardly concave shapes when viewed in a front view. 5. The nipple of claim 4, wherein said opposing sides are smoothly concave when viewed in said front view. 6. The nipple of claim 1, wherein said stem is substantially concentrically aligned with said areola region and said bulbous region when viewed in said top view. 7. The nipple of claim 1, wherein said areola region has a circular shape when viewed in said top view. 8. The nipple of claim 1, wherein said convex shape of said areola region has a radius of curvature of about 5.0 mm to about 10.0 mm. 9. The nipple of claim 1, wherein said bulbous region has an outwardly convex shape. 10. The nipple of claim 9, wherein said convex shape of said bulbous region has a radius of curvature of about 10.0 mm to about 19.0 mm. 11. The nipple of claim 1, wherein said stem, said areola region and said bulbous region are integrally formed. 12. The nipple of claim 1, further comprising a securing structure. 13. The nipple of claim 5, wherein said securing structure is a flange extending outwardly from said bulbous region. 14. The nipple of claim 13, wherein said flange has an annular channel. 15. The nipple of claim 1, wherein said stem is elongated. 16. The nipple of claim 15, wherein said stem has a length of about 16.0 mm to about 26.0 mm. 17. A nipple simulating an areola of a woman's breast comprising: a stem having an orifice, a proximal end and a distal end; and a base being connected to said proximal end of said stem, said base having an areola region and a bulbous region, said areola region having a first wall thickness, said bulbous region having a second wall thickness and a third wall thickness, wherein said areola region is positioned between said stem and said bulbous region, wherein said areola region simulates the shape and function of the areola of the woman's breast, wherein said third wall thickness is disposed in a portion of said bulbous region adjacent to said areola region, and wherein said first and second wall thicknesses are greater than said third wall thickness. 20. The nipple of claim 19, wherein said areola region is substantially concentrically aligned with said bulbous region when viewed in a top view. 21. The nipple of claim 20, wherein said areola region and said bulbous region have circular shapes when viewed in said top view. 22. The nipple of claim 19, wherein said areola region has an outwardly convex shape. 23. The nipple of claim 22, wherein said convex shape of said areola region has a radius of curvature of about 5.0 mm to about 10.0 mm. 24. The nipple of claim 22, wherein said bulbous region has an outwardly convex shape. 25. The nipple of claim 24, wherein said convex shape of said bulbous region has a radius of curvature of about 10.0 mm to about 19.0 mm. 26. A nipple simulating an areola of a woman's breast comprising: a stem having an orifice, a proximal end and a distal end; an areola region being connected to said proximal end of said stem, said areola region having an outwardly convex shape; a bulbous region having an outwardly convex shape and surrounding said areola region; and an annular edge being positioned between said areola region and said bulbous region, wherein said areola region is substantially concentrically aligned with said bulbous region when viewed in a top view, and wherein said areola region simulates the shape and function of the areola of the woman's breast. 34. The nipple of claim 33, wherein said stem is inwardly tapered toward said distal end. 35. The nipple of claim 34, wherein said distal end of said stem has a curved apex. 36. The nipple of claim 33, wherein the nipple has only one edge which is said annular edge. 37. The nipple of claim 36, wherein said proximal end of said stem has opposing sides with inwardly smooth concave shapes when viewed in a front view. 38. The nipple of claim 33, wherein said bulbous region has a first wall thickness that decreases towards said edge. 39. The nipple of claim 38, wherein said areola region has a substantially uniform second wall thickness. 40. The nipple of claim 33, wherein said stem is substantially concentrically aligned with said areola region and said bulbous region when viewed in said top view. 41. The nipple of claim 40, wherein said areola region and said bulbous region have circular shapes when viewed in said top view. 42. The nipple of claim 33, wherein said convex shape of said areola region has a radius of curvature of about 5.0 mm to about 10.0 mm, and wherein said convex shape of said bulbous region has a radius of curvature of about 10.0 mm to about 19.0 mm. 43. A nipple simulating an areola of a woman's breast comprising: a stem having an orifice, a proximal end and a distal end; and a base being connected to said proximal end of said stem, said base having an outer surface and an areola region, said outer surface being outwardly convex, wherein said areola region has an annular shape and is raised from said outer surface of said base, wherein said areola region is substantially concentrically aligned with said base when viewed in a top view, and wherein said areola region simulates the shape and function of the areola of the woman's breast. 45. The nipple of claim 44, wherein said stem is inwardly tapered toward said distal end. 46. The nipple of claim 44, wherein said base has only one raised portion which is said areola region. 47. The nipple of claim 44, wherein said areola region is disposed along said base in proximity to said proximal end of said stem. 48. The nipple of claim 44, wherein said base and said proximal end of said stem are connected to form an inwardly smooth concave surface. 49.
