The clock circuitry (316) may receive power from the gun-hardened capacitor (324) if the super capacitor (322) fails during the launching operation. The capacitive energy storage element (304) may include one-way energy transfer elements (326) coupled between the super capacitor (322) and the gun-hardened capacitor (324). A regulator (312) may be coupled to an output of the capacitive storage element (304) to regulate an input voltage to the clock circuitry (316).
