A HVAC system is operable in a fresh air mode and a recirculation mode for use in a vehicle is disclosed. The HVAC system includes a blower and a HVAC module in fluid communication with and downstream of the blower for warming and cooling the air to be circulated through the passenger compartment in both the fresh air mode and the recirculation mode. The HVAC module includes an inlet duct in fluid communication with and upstream of the blower and located above the dashboard for drawing air from the passenger compartment above the dashboard and through the blower and the HVAC module in the recirculation mode. The inlet duct above the dashboard improves air circulation within the passenger compartment that improves the air warm-up rate. The inlet duct above the dashboard also improves the airflow across a windshield to prevent fogging of the windshield.

The chuck means of claim 1, wherein strain gauges are attached to the upper side of the chuck plate which gauges being connected to an external computer through transfer means associated with the spindle. 9. The chuck means of claim 1, wherein a first part of a releasable fluid coupling is attached to the chuck plate, a second part of the fluid coupling is centrally located in the housing and vertically movable, and the fluid coupling comprising a fluid passage which is connected to the passages in the chuck plate and the passage in the spindle. 10. The chuck means of claim 9, wherein the fluid coupling includes a quick disconnect means. 11. The chuck means of claim 9, wherein the first coupling part has receptacle means connected to the chuck plate, the second coupling part sealingly cooperating with the first coupling part and including a portion extending into the receptacle means, and a quick disconnect screw lock mechanism is provided for the coupling parts. 12. The chuck means of claim 11, wherein the second coupling part has a first vertically movable portion which cooperates with the first coupling part, the first portion being biased towards the chuck plate by a spring, and secured a second portion wherein the first portion is supported for rotational movement and against axial movement, the first portion being supported in the housing such that in a lower position it is secured against rotation and in an upper position is freely rotatable, and a flexible conduit is connected to the second portion which in turn is connected to an axial passage in the spindle. ra et al.; US-5486265, 19960100, Salugsugan; US-5578529, 19961100, Mullins; US-5616069, 19970400, Walker et al.; US-5645682, 19970700, Skrovan; US-5651725, 19970700, Kikuta et al.; US-5702563, 19971200, Salugsugan et al.; US-5704987, 19980100, Huynh et al.; US-5738574, 19980400, Tolles et al.; US-5755614, 19980500, Adams et al.; US-5779522, 19980700, Walker et al.; US-5893753, 19990400, Hempel, Jr.; US-5916010, 19990600, Varian et al., 451/038; US-5957757, 19990900, Berman, 451/056; US-6053801, 20000400, Pinson et al., 451/056; US-6139406, 20001000, Kennedy et al., 451/067; US-6168502, 20010100, Allman et al., 451/038
