The golf ball of claim 1, wherein the sub-dimples are arranged in a predetermined pattern on the surface of the dimple. 4. The golf ball of claim 1, wherein the sub-dimples are positioned proximate to the center of the dimple. 5. The golf ball of claim 1, wherein the sub-dimples are positioned proximate to the perimeter of the dimple. 6. The golf ball of claim 1, wherein the dimples have a center and the overlapped dimples are located proximate to the center. 7. The golf ball of claim 1, wherein at least one of the sub-dimples is convex or concave and optionally comprises a protruding surface. 8. The golf ball of claim 1, wherein the sub-dimples have a polygonal shape, a circular shape, or both. 9. A golf ball comprising: a substantially spherical outer surface; and a plurality of dimples formed on the outer surface of the ball, the dimples having a perimeter, an inner surface and a center, wherein at least one of the dimples comprises a plurality of radiating anus emanating from a location proximate the center of the dimple, and wherein at least one of the radiating arms has a blade shape and a top edge positioned below the spherical outer surface. 10. The golf ball of claim 9, wherein at least one of the radiating arms has an enlarging profile, is substantially straight, selectively protrudes beyond the perimeter of the dimple into the outer surface of the ball, has a perimeter and a concave configuration, or has a convex configuration. 11. The golf ball of claim 10, wherein the enlarging radiating arms completely cover the surface of the dimple. 12. The golf ball of claim 9, wherein the at least one dimple comprises four lobes. 13. The golf ball of claim 12, wherein each lobe is defined by a curved outer segment and wherein the curved outer segments define at least a portion of the perimeter of the dimple. 14. The golf ball of claim 13, wherein each lobe is further defined by two radiating arms. 15. The golf ball of claim 14, wherein the plurality of radiating arms include truncated radiating arms. 16. The golf ball of claim 15, wherein each lobe is further defined by two adjacent truncated radiating arms. 17. The golf ball of claim 13, wherein the portions of the perimeter where the curved outer segments abut are rounded. 18. The golf ball of claim 9, wherein at least one radiating arm is located within at least one lobe. 19. The golf ball of claim 18, wherein the radiating arm extend to an apex point of the at least one lobe. 20. A golf ball dimple comprising at least four lobes, wherein each lobe is defined by a curved outer segment, and the curved outer segments form at least a portion of the perimeter of the dimple, and wherein the portions of the perimeter where the curved outer segments abut are rounded. 21. The dimple of claim 20, wherein the dimple comprises a plurality of radiating arias emanating from a location proximate the center of the dimple. 22. The dimple of claim 21, wherein each lobe is further defined by two radiating arms. 23. The dimple of claim 22, wherein the radiating arms include truncated radiating arms. 24. The dimple of claim 23, wherein each lobe is further defined by two adjacent truncated radiating arms. 25. The dimple of claim 21, wherein at least one radiating arm is located within each lobe. 26. The dimple of claim 25, wherein the at least one radiating arm extends to an apex point of the lobe.
