A speech recognition feature extractor according to claim 1, wherein said feature extractor comprises a set of additional feature generators to receive additional sets of spectral values in the frequency domain for generating additional groups of speech features, wherein each of said feature generators is arranged to receive a subpart of said spectral values for generating an additional groups of speech features, and each additional set of spectral values forms one subpart of said spectral values. 13. A speech recognition feature extractor according to claim 12, wherein each subpart differs from the other subparts by at least one spectral value. 14. A speech recognition feature extractor according to claim 12, wherein each of said subparts comprises a different number of spectral values. 15. A speech recognition feature extractor according to claim 12, wherein at least two of the subparts overlap partially. 16.
