A pedestal and legs on the base are arranged so that the pedestal of one crate may be received and secured by the legs of a similar crate having its side walls folded to the stacked storage condition. A preferred crate includes latch members between inner and outer side wall surfaces on a first pair of the side walls. Catch members on a second pair of the side walls are positioned for releasable latch member engagement to secure the side walls in the open condition. Connector receivers, link members and fasteners may be provided to secure successive similar crates together.
