Compactor according to one of claims 1 to 3, characterized in that the pendulum-type housing ( 8 ) is radially supported via rolling bearings ( 30 ) inside the drum ( 4 , 4 a , 4 b ). 5. Compactor according to claim 1, characterized in that between an adjusting means ( 5 ) for adjusting the angular position of the pendulum-type vibrator ( 10 ) relative to the vertical plane extending through the drum axis ( 2 ) and the pendulum-type housing ( 8 ), damping elements ( 20 ) permitting pendular oscillations of the pendulum-type housing ( 8 ) are arranged. 6. Compactor according to claim 1, characterized in that the intensity of compaction is variable through the elliptic oscillation via the angular position of the pendulum-type housing ( 8 ) and the speed of the unbalance exciter shaft ( 12 ). 7.
