1. A process for atomizing an FCC feed in an FCC feed injector comprising a plurality of mixing zones and a feed nozzle, comprising:(a) sparging a first atomizing fluid into the FCC feed through a first sparger in a first mixing zone, wherein the first sparger comprises orifices sized such that said atomizing fluid is sparged into the FCC feed at high velocities of greater than about 250 ft/sec (about 76 m/sec): (b) passing the mixture from the first mixing zone to a second mixing zone; (c) sparging, in the second mixing zone through a second sparger, a second atomizing fluid selected from steam, light hydrocarbon gas, inert gas, and combinations thereof into the mixture from the first mixing zone wherein the second sparger comprises orifices sized such that said atomizing fluid is sparged into the mixture from the first mixing zone at high velocities of greater than about 250 ft/sec (about 76 m/sec); and, (d) passing the resulting mixture from the second mixing zone through a feed nozzle. 2. The process according to claim 1 wherein the FCC feed is selected from heavy and reduced petroleum crude oil, petroleum atmospheric distillation bottoms, petroleum vacuum distillation bottoms, pitch, asphalt, bitumen, tar sand oils, shale oil, liquid products derived from coal liquefaction processes and mixtures thereof.3. The process according to claim 1 wherein the first atomizing fluid is selected from subcooled water, steam, light hydrocarbon gas, inert gas, and combinations thereof.4. The process according to claim 1 wherein the first atomizing fluid is externally sparged into the first mixing zone.5. The process according to claim 1 wherein the first atomizing fluid is internally sparged into the first mixing zone.6. The process according to claim 1 wherein the second atomizing fluid is externally sparged into the second mixing zone.7. The process according to claim 1 wherein the second atomizing fluid is internally sparged into the second mixing zone.8. The process according to claim 1 wherein the first a nd second atomizing fluids simultaneously contact the FCC feed.9. The process according to claim 1 wherein said feed nozzle is positioned less than about 15 internal pipe diameters downstream from the second mixing zone.10. The process according to claim 1 wherein the second mixing zone is positioned less than about 50 internal pipe diameters downstream from the first mixing zone.11. An atomizing process comprising:(a) injecting, through a first sparger, a first atomizing fluid into a feed by sparging said first atomizing fluid into said feed, wherein the first sparger comprises orifices sized such that said atomizing fluid is sparged into the feed at high velocities of greater than about 250 ft/sec (about 76 m/sec) and the first atomizing fluid is selected from steam, light hydrocarbon gas, inert gas, and combinations thereof; (b) subsequently injecting, through a second sparger, a second atomizing fluid into the feed/atomizing fluid mixture from step (a) by sparging said second atomizing fluid into said feed/atomizing fluid mixture, wherein the second sparger comprises orifices sized such that said atomizing fluid is sparged into the feed/atomizing fluid mixture at high velocities of greater than about 250 ft/sec (about 76 m/sec), and the second atomizing fluid is selected from steam, light hydrocarbon gas, inert gas, and combinations thereof; and (c) passing the mixture from step (b) through a nozzle. 12. The process according to claim 11 wherein the feed is selected from heavy and reduced petroleum crude oil, petroleum atmospheric distillation bottoms, petroleum vacuum distillation bottoms, pitch, asphalt, bitumen, tar sand oils, shale oil, liquid products derived from coal liquefaction processes and mixtures thereof.13. An atomizing process comprising:(a) sparging a first atomizing fluid into a feed through a first sparger, wherein the first atomizing fluid is selected from subcooled water, steam, light hydrocarbon gas, inert gas and combinations thereof and the first sparger comprises orifices sized such that said atomizing fluid is sparged into the FCC feed at high velocities of greater than about 250 ft/sec (about 76 m/sec); (b) simultaneously sparging, through a second sparger, a second atomizing fluid into the feed, the second atomizing fluid selected from steam, light hydrocarbon gas, inert gas, and combinations thereof, wherein the second sparger comprises orifices sized such that said atomizing fluid is sparged into the FCC feed at high velocities of greater than about 250 ft/sec (about 76 m/sec); and (c) passing the mixture from step (b) through a nozzle. 14. The process according to claim 13 comprising externally sparging the first atomizing fluid.15. The process according to claim 13 comprising externally sparging the second atomizing fluid.16. The process according to claim 13 comprising internally sparging the first atomizing fluid.17. The process according to claim 13 comprising internally sparging the second atomizing fluid.18. A fluidized catalytic cracking process comprising:(a) passing an FCC feed to a feed injector comprising a plurality of mixing zones and a nozzle; (b) in a first mixing zone, injecting a first atomizing fluid into the FCC feed; (c) in a second mixing zone positioned downstream from the first mixing zone, injecting a second atomizing fluid into the FCC feed/atomizing fluid mixture from the first mixing zone, the second atomizing fluid selected from steam, light hydrocarbon gas, inert gas, and combinations thereof; (d) passing the FCC feed/atomizing fluid mixture from the second mixing zone through the nozzle, the nozzle having an outlet positioned to produce a spray of FCC feed droplets into a reaction zone; and, (e) contacting the FCC feed droplets with a FCC catalyst in the reaction zone to produce a product stream and spent catalyst comprising strippable hydrocarbons. 19. The process according to claim 18 further comprising:(a) separating the product stream and the spent catalyst; (b) stripping the spent catalyst with a stripping gas; (c) recovering the product stream; (d) passing the stripped catalyst to a regeneration zone and contacting the catalyst with an oxygen containing gas; and, (e) passing regenerated catalyst to the reaction zone.
