A treatment method for delivery of lidocaine or other type of skin treatment drug to a patient's skin, includes applying electrical bursts of pulses onto the patient's skin by way of electrodes provided on a head of a probe that is placed against the patient's skin. The treatment method also includes applying mechanical vibrations of a same frequency and phase as the bursts of pulses onto the patient's skin by way of a vibrating element provided on the head of the probe. At the same time as the above two steps are being performed, the treatment method includes providing, between the electrodes and the patient's skin, at least two solution-absorbing pads electrically insulated from each other and each one of the two solution-absorbing pads being in electrical contact with one or more of the electrodes on the head of the probe. At least one of the two solution-absorbing pads is soaked with lidocaine or other type of skin treatment drug and the other of the two solution-absorbing pads is soaked with a conductive fisiological solution. The pads may be gauze pads or hydrogel pads.

1. An apparatus for transdermal delivery of a skin treatment drug to a patient's skin, comprising:a probe having a head with one central electrode and at least two peripheral electrodes disposed around the one central electrode; a vibrating plate provided adjacent to the head; a mechanical vibrator; a first solution-absorbing pad provided against a first electrode containing region of a surface of the probe head; a second solution-absorbing pad provided against a second electrode containing region of the surface of the head, the second solution-absorbing pad being different and spaced away from said first solution-absorbing pad; and a pulse generator configured to deliver bursts of electrical pulses to the one central electrode and the at least two peripheral electrodes, wherein bursts of electrical pulses are provided to the patient's skin by way of the one central electrode and the at least two peripheral electrodes, at a same phase or a same frequency, or at an integer multiple or submultiple thereof, as mechanical vibrations being provided to the patient's skin by way of the vibrating plate, and wherein the second solution absorbing pad is adapted to include a physiological solution and the second solution absorbing pad is adapted to include a drug solution. 2. An apparatus according to claim 1, wherein the first and second solution-absorbing pads are gauze pads.3. An apparatus according to claim 1, wherein at least one of the first and second solution-absorbing pads is a hydrogel pad.4. An apparatus according to claim 1, further comprising:a first rubber device provided between the first and second solution-absorbing pads and acting as an electrical insulation device between the first and second solution-absorbing pads. 5. An apparatus according to claim 4, wherein the first rubber device has a square shape.6. An apparatus according to claim 4, further comprising:a second rubber device provided around an entire circumferential area of the second solution-absorbing pad. 7. An apparatus according to claim 1, wherein the first region includes the one central electrode but not the at least two peripheral electrodes, and wherein the second region includes the at least two peripheral electrodes but not the one central electrode.8. An apparatus according to claim 1, wherein the head of the probe is a disposable sterilized component that is removed from the probe and discarded after treatment of the patient.9. An apparatus according to claim 1, wherein the first solution-absorbing pad includes a physiological solution and the second solution-absorbing pad includes lidocaine.10. A method of transdermal delivery of a skin treatment drug to a patient's skin, comprising:providing a first solution-absorbing pad against a first electrode containing region of a surface of a head of a probe, the head of the probe having one central electrode and at least two peripheral electrodes disposed around the one central electrode, the probe further including a vibrating plate disposed adjacent to the head of the probe; and providing a second solution-absorbing pad against a second electrode containing region of the surface of the head, the second solution-absorbing pad being different and non-contacting with the first solution-absorbing pad; and delivering bursts of electrical pulses to the one central electrode an the at least two peripheral electrodes, wherein bursts of electrical pulses are provided to the patient's skin by way of the one central electrode and the at least two peripheral electrodes, at a same phase or a same frequency, or at an integer multiple or submultiple thereof, as mechanical vibrations being provided to the patient's skin by way of the vibrating plate, and wherein the first solution-absorbing pad includes a physiological solution and the second solution-absorbing pad includes a drug solution. 11. A method according to claim 10, wherein the first and second solution-absorbing pads are gauze pads.12. A method according to claim 10, wherein at least one of the first and second solution-absorbing pads is a hydrogel pad.13. A method according to claim 10, further comprising:providing a first rubber device between the first and second solution-absorbing pads, wherein the first rubber device acts as an electrical insulation device between the first and second solution-absorbing pads. 14. A method according to claim 13, wherein the first rubber device has a square shape.15. A method according to claim 13, further comprising:providing a second rubber device around an entire circumferential area of the second solution-absorbing pad. 16. A method according to claim 10, wherein the first region includes the one central electrode but not the at least two peripheral electrodes, and wherein the second region includes the at least two peripheral electrodes but not the one central electrode.17. A method according to claim 10, wherein the plate of th eprobe is a disposable sterilized component, the method further comprising:removing the plate from the probe and discarding the plate after treatment of the patient. 18. A method according to claim 10, wherein the first and second solution-absorbing pads are disposable components, the method further comprising:removing the first and second solution-absorbing pads from the probe and discarding the first and second solution-absorbing pads after treatment of the patient. 19.
